Why do girls prefer skinny guys?

I'm 6'3", about 250 lbs, broad shouldered, and I hate being seen as a big guy. People try to tell me girls prefer bigger guys, yet all the guys girls go for are skinny to average. Even at stores, the mannequins are all slender with no muscle and not especially tall, and what's more of an indicator of ideal body size than a mannequin?
