Sandal cleaner/odor eliminator?

I have a couple pairs of sandals that are in desperate need of cleaning. They are in good shape but stink. Does anyone know of a good detergent to get the smell out? I have tried washing them in the washing machine with regular detergent as well as baking soda. Please do not recomment botox or socks for my feet.
